PS About trust and vendors
These vendors are asking us to trust them with our collections. Trust is the new value add. Do these partners still Trust MS? With Microsoft's behavior patterns reinforced daily and trust
disintegrating around their platform, is it any wonder Apple has stayed ahead in this area.

Those who have cooperated with Apple have often been burned. Those who invested heavily into creating Apple clones got absolutely destroyed when Apple simply revoked all licenses. There was a huge outcry by Apple vendors when Apple started setting up competing storefronts right next door, effectively sending Apple's best supporters out of business.

The biggest difference I see between MS and Apple's behaviour is that MS's "unethical" behaviour affects many more people than does Apple's equally "unethical" behaviour. You make it sound like Apple always plays nice when history simply does not support that belief. Apple has a nasty habit of releasing a bit of control, convincing others to join in on a venture, and then yank control back when things don't go exactly as planned. Apple has left a trail of failed businessmen who staked their companies on the Apple's whim of the day.
