Microsoft is just not cool
Yes Windows Media Center, Windows Portable Media Center, MSN TV, Windows Mobile is just not cool, hip names. People associate Windows with problems they may have with their ugly PCs, so distancing themselves is a good start.

I guess that's why Apple did not go with MacPod.
