but IMO, it has as much to do with the Bill Gates ingrained
mindset as part of the Microsoft business agenda.

Going back to his early days, Gates has had an I-want
(DEMAND)-it-all-and-will-get-it-by-any-means personality and
I believe it's shown itself thru the many years (and successes) of
Microsoft's questionable, unethical business practices.

Much of the testimony and e-mail content revealed during the
anti-trust trial showed (proved) the MS mindset and it's win (and
take)-at-any-cost philosophy. (along with ex legal council
Nuekom's statement that MS followed the "easier to ask
forgiveness after the fact than permission before it."... do it,
feign contrition and live with it)

Though Gates has seemed to have officially vacated his top
position, there are still many of the old guard still in
management (ie, Ballmer).
