Track record
Zune (aka the iClod) is a magical box that will cure diseases and let you fly instead of walking. Hey why not, it's just as meaningful as any other promise MS has made as of late. Later on they'll just drop those features from the actual shipping product.

I think this will follow MS' track record on devices that aren't Windows or Office. At best, like the Xbox, it'll fail to make money. At worst, like MSN TV, it'll quickly disappear.

Probably somewhere int he middle, like MS' attempts at wireless base stations or webcams, products that have minimal market share compared to the competition.
