Why any lawsuit? Use what you have.
Just because Intel is getting their act together with the multi-
core chips doesn't mean they or any other manufacturer is going
to drop the single core chips completely. The older single cores
will be good for embedded chips and where only a limited
amount of CPU power is needed. If only we could get MS to write
an OS that REALLY uses multiple processors the way they were
intended we would see one CPU core doing the critical apps fast
while the other core(s) did the background system tasks and
anti-malware.

Just because multiprocessor machines have been around doesn't
mean they have been fully utilized. Without tools to write code
to take advantage of the extra CPUs there isn't going to be much
done with the extra hardware. Take a look at the 64-bit
machines that aren't using all the memory abilities available.
Where are the machines that have 1 Terabyte of RAM? Since MS
doesn't support it, it isn't needed? Most apps would be hard
pressed to use a 10GHz CPU and the OS would have to juggle
multiple tasks. The support chips probably couldn't keep up with
the swapping of data to keep the CPU at full speed.

Most consumers don't need the power available in the Pentium
M series. When people start using more multimedia apps for
pictures, video and audio then the new CPUs will be a better
value. Until then most folks can get by with what they have for
email, web-surfing and a few light office type apps. Of course if
the workload continues to increase for running anti-malware
apps to keep a machine safe then the extra cores will come in
handy.
