I hope that IBM "siding" with AMD will further bolster AMD's
position vs Intel's. It is far better to have a strong competitor against Intel to FORCE it to keep improving its chips.

At the same time you need good competition against IBM to also force it to keep improving its processor line.

I hope that sooner than later SUN can have a competitive processor to Power6. I don't have any hope that Itanium is going to make it, unless Intel get determined to REALLY invest whatever is needed. But Intel is within too much internal turmoil to open bigger fronts....
