This is a SUPER DUUHHHHHH !!!
Does this imply that IBM is oblivious to the upcomming Core 2 chips by Intel? Why did they wait for until Intel have competitive chips to AMD and then go with AMD?

I suspect that AMD has become a "stapple" type of processor and in IBM (and many other) eyes is here to stay.

It still strikes me as odd, although it must be teh case the IBM knows something about upcomming AMD chips or otherwise wouldn't side with AMD.... Or it maybe trying to squeeze Intel into some better chip prices ???

It is interesting though .... wink
