Strategic blunder?
Nothing against Israel (I actually support Israel in its fight to survive against terrorism and rogue nations)...but if I were an Intel executive or board member, I'm not sure I could have seen the proposition of opening a design center and fab in such a war-torn region as the middle-east. We will see how things turn out during the course of events that is now unfolding. Perhaps there are sufficient contingency plans in place...but at the least, it seems likely that any stationary assets are extremely vulnerable. People can be fairly quickly moved and hunkered down in shelters...but the fab sits where it is...with a big bulls-eye on it for anyone who would love to disrupt the Israeli economy.
