Not good enough
The new Intel chips will be cheaper than AMD chips. This is a big drive for Intel to regain some lost market share due to crappie chip building. I don't think for a minute that AMD will stand by and watch there share of the market dwindle away. I expect to see major price drops from AMD as the next blogger news from ZDnet. I see this as good thing or a bad thing. If AMD does indeed drop prices this will be a good thing as they have got comfortable being the best manufacture of chips in the world. Not having to compete has made there prices sky high. This slap in the face from Intel may wake them out of their pipe dream and make them get back into competition and start producing better faster chips or at least drop the price of there processors across the board. The other way this could go is lack of response. Indeed AMD's position will deteriorate and could close AMD's Chips Division leaving them with the flash market only. If when I go to buy a chip I look at everything from over-clock ability, price and performance. If Intel is the better bet than that is the bet I take. If AMD is better then I take them. For in the end both companies are greedy capitalistic pigs.
