Adware, marketware, trialware - Oh, my! Pop-up ad generators? Installing what your friends needs are and removing what they don't like? You are a good friend! Why didn't your friend simply tell the people in advance what they needed on their system and didn't need. For example, most end-users replacing an older OpSys allready have access to an ISP, so AOL and its idiotic hand-in-hand stuff (messenger, stocks tickers etc) can really use up space.

If your a C++ or VB6/Pascal translator, or an architect, then having these "extras" on your HD are a bother, and can irritate you to clean them and thier entries up and out so you can have the space on your HD for those enourmously large programmes to run properly. But for the most part, its just a simple irritation and its over with.

Heres to hoping Dells cleaner, streamlined approach to sales and customer satisfaction also include the credo: Nothing less, nothing more.
