If you don't like it...
If you don't approve of mass layoffs, or the companies that do them, it's simple... don't buy their products or anything with "Intel Inside!" Actions like this must also be done en masse, otherwise the effect will be laughable.

I believe that if there was a web site that gave people these types of notifications... to not buy a companies products or services due to; "at will" employment (favoring the employer), the effects of offshoring and the like, people could take market force actions in a more timely way and with greater impact.

The reason I take this stance is because companies can hurt people horribly! At will employment means that the employer has you by the "gozingas" and can let you go for whatever reason they chose... or not even have to give a reason at all and just say it was for poor performance, just 'a cuttin' back, etc. Also at will employment means they have you as an economic slave. So... now what are these folks going to do? Getting a new job takes a long, long time if you don't know what you're doing!!

Instead, as punishment, buy AMD stuff! I've been an advocate of that firm for five years because of several faux pas events from Intel. This is simply another one!
