Real benchamarking organizations should do the work
first and then compare ACTUAL SYSTEMS head to head and then see the performance, cost+power consumption figures.

I don't pay too much attention to 'Tom's Barbeque Hardware' since if Intel was CERTAIN that its FINAL product is so good it would had already allowed respectable benchmarkers (www.spec.org, etc) to try it out.

Sun actually has finalized systems with opteron which will soon get a significant boost with DDR2 and HT v3.0 support.

Where are Intel's systems? They have released some test processors but NO actual details on their state and closeness to market has been so far revealed. It appears that Intel is only injecting some rumours of some "great systems" which at last can overtake the outdated Opterons and more blah blah... which NO big deal at all.

I will again give them the benefit of the doubt in case that they are watiting others to advertise their systems first that Intel knows are inferrior to theirs.

I will just wait.
