Intel takes back lead in U.S. retail

Enjoy your brief reign, Intel.

Intel may have captured the spotlight for a while, but I really can't see it lasting long. AMD has been anticipating this, and has it's counter attack in place. Unless Intel can clear it's stockpile of processors, the profit gain will be minimal. All one has to do is look at Intel's revenues for the last 4Q, to see what kind of sales they'll need to pull into a comfortable lead. AMD has a counter plan to keep sales of the excess to a minimum. Once Q1 2007 rolls around, the new line of AMD's should hit the market. OUCH!!! Might need to get that stitched!
