I hope they mean albums and not singles
I hope they are talking about album CD's

(1) Since a single is currently ?4 and their "basic" price is ?7.
(2) Albums are overpriced and the reason I don't buy music much any more is because they are lousy value.

If "the majority of what {they} sell is CD's & packaging" and a CD costs me 16p +50p for a case, isn't ?16 for an album just profiteering?
