THE BIG QUESTION
I have seen several 'specials' on HDTV on cable stations, but not one has answered THE BIG QUESTION: what do the people without HDTV tuners do?

What about the millions of TV viewers that have old sets without HDTV tuners? What about the viewers that don't have cable? When or IF the industry switches completely to HDTV broadcasting, these people will be left out in the cold with nothing to watch!

Is the government going to subsidize buying HDTV tuners for these folks? I doubt it.

Why are they STILL SELLING TV sets without HDTV tuners? It's only prolonging the switch and only going to make it more difficult. Now we're going to have to go out and buy a tuner now just to watch TV? NOT! I'll just stop watching broadcast all together. Cable costs too much as it is. Spending another $150+ just for tuner is NOT an option.

What about recycling all those old sets? An environmental disaster waiting to happen.
