DAMN right because it's cheaper..! Plenty of people going out and buying Celery based notebooks because they don't need the latest and greatest in speed demon technology. They just want something in their notebooks that will allow them to do e-mail, surf the net, write the occasional proposal in Word (or whatever), etc...

So if Intel can sell their Celery, why shouldn't AMD also cash in on the low end market? That IS, and always has been their traditional niche. It IS nice to see them taking the lead though. GO AMD!
