microsofts entry into robotics
I must say it is about time. I wonder though what ever happened to those "expert" systems that are processor intensive programed with human expert input from certain fields of knowledge. There used to be one for doctors called Cadusus. Why could microsoft or someone develop an expert system using parallel processing as they want to do with household robots for automobiles? I think something like the systems used in fighter jets that are very unstable in flight without the use of computers to make micro adjustments to canard winglets and control surfaces to keep them in the air and within the flight envelope of the aircraft. A car has an operational envelope too, you just need the processing power that has been correctly programed to keep the car within its envelope of its operational capabilities and has expert driver capabilities that has been trained with the input of many expert drivers like the one created for medicine.
