The X4x series is a kludged collection of 4-ways cobbled together to prove a theory that scale up works in the x86 space. How many 8-CPU versions has IBM sold let alone 32-CPU boxes ?? Do you know what these COST compared to scale out ?? Do you know any customers running more than 10VMs per host IN PRODUCTION ?
