Why use a harddrive?
If this is for yourself then go ahead and use a dvd. But if you are serving up media for online viewing a dvd does not make sense. You would have to have 100 dvd drives to match this harddrive. it would be slower and much much more expensive. Granted a drive this large really has no use in the home as yet, give time for consumers who think that they need this much space to change that. I mean really, 400 gigs? I see this for server application only now.
