Spectrum in almost infinite, but....
these executives are trying to improve their "profit margin" on the cheap by round-about eminent domain like actions and forcing current users out.

It is akin to a corporation forcing you out of your home because it is more "valuable" as commercial property than residential.

We are USING less than 10% of the available spectrum but they don't want to be troubled to use what is available. Look at all the dozens of unused tv channels in each city. The equipment could easily be programed to search for a channel with no signal and switch if a signal suddenly appears.
