Using benchmarks which fit within Intel's unified 4MB second level cache.

(Unified == one second level cache for both CPU's.)

In real world usage, main memory would be extensively accessed and that's where Intel's new chip takes a big hit.

For example, the use of a stand alone non-networked game benchmarks, in the real world the game user would be connected via the internet to other players. This brings in M$ bloated network stack, firewall, etc into play. All of a sudden 4MB isn't so big anymore and real world user performance suffers.
