What's "wrong" is the selfish money grab
What's wrong with it is that the iPod has been around for years and nothing was said, if there was actually a problem. Now that the iPod is successful, all the patent trolls are showing up. Probably we have NTP to thank for that -- the company with no product, no valid patents ... that still managed to extort millions that it had no right to. (I'm still wondering when RIM is going to countersue for libel, fraud, and for return of the illegal gains).
