Why do you repeat mistakes after Gartner or introduce new once?
RAID stands for:
"Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks"
(not independent).
In fact, RAID can be configured the way that disks ARE DEPENDENT and so your data will not be complete if one disk is pulled out of the array.
