I take exception to all the name calling
Dell makes a decent computer. I have nine desktops in my office--seven of one generation (about two years old) and two that are only a few months old.

They serve us well. I do not care if they are a microsecond behind other machines. They work. I have the extended service warranty on them -- only had to make a couple of calls (one was because of my own error) and the problem was handled quickly.

I hae a dell server that I use as a backup server. It worked well for two years-had a problem, took some effort, but they did replace it. Will my next set of computers be Dell--I don't know. Will check for price, performance, etc.

I purchased the Dell units after careful research. I am not an idiot. The problem with these talkbacks is that many people are not open to the fact that other people have valid opinions and views. You may disagree. That is your right. You do not have to be disagreeable.

Just because you want AMD chips and another operating system, does not mean that everybody wants that and because people do not want what you want does not make them idiots.

I suspect you are young--under 25. Hopefuly with age you will mature a little.

Finally, regarding the issue about service people with thick accents. I wish the jobs stayed in this country--the outsourcing is not limited to the computer industry. However, be a little tolerant. I happened to be speech impaired. I pretty well have it under control, but sometimes people have trouble understanding me. I ask only for their patience and usually get it. We shoudl extend the same courtesy to all people.
