Dell=generic
The excitement is totally gone with Dell computers, the quality is fast becoming a memory, customer service and tech support are generally off-shored to folks with minimal English skills and less computer skills.

At the law firm for which I am MIS manager, Dell's bid was not the best, their attitude was poor and they did not get the bid. I am to buy from them because they are Dell??? Oh and do not forget, since the firm is in Tennessee, they have an assembly facility in Nashville. Boy that motivate me.

Bring back US based customer service, Tech support, and those services are provided by quality folks. I suspect in the next round of computers the firm will consider returning to me building them. We had better control on the quality and performance, and besides if a something fails in a Dell (or Gateway) I end out doing the part replacement. I may as well build them, with quality brand name product.
