Who said they were used as servers?
"Only an idiot would use a De-Celeron in a server machine."

The 400SC is the same machine as the Dimension 8300, but sold as a server instead. (The one 2GHz Celeron system is a media server only in my house.)

The $323 2.4GHz 800MHz FSB machine will in fact stomp pretty much any other machine at that price point. Yes, stomp. It's not that Dell machines are that much better, but their prices are *INSANELY* low, even when you get a full in home service warranty. (Not that I've ever needed it on a Dell.) Stomp.

You claim bad performance, please point out a $323 machine, incuding shipping (prices are from last October), with full warranty, that would beat the 400SC.

You can't do it. I know this, and I'm an AMD fan. (Current main box is a self-built XP 1700+ OC'd to 2000+. Next chip is the Athlon 64 of some flavor.)

Again, no, I don't like Dell. But no one can touch them for value when you know how to ime discounts, coupons, and rebates. Not even close.
