Quality + Price = Value
I can't speak to the specific service issues you reference in your reply, but your automotive analogy leaves a little to be desired.

Do I think GM produces quality autos? While there are certainly better quality manufacturers, I do believe that GM today gives decent value in comparison with the rest of the market. (I would NOT have said that 10-15 years ago). I believe that for the price you pay, you get a decent product that meets customers' needs.

Kia vs. Porsche: How is this a fair comparison? Kia is a low-end auto model with a relatively puny price tag. Porsche produces some of the most expensive vehicles on the market. The question is do you get decent value for your money. I have never owned either brand of vehicle so I can't really speak to their value.

Now let's look at Dell computers. From a pricing standpoint their machines are kind of mid-range. There are certainly cheaper machines, and there are certainly more expensive ones. My own experience is that there is adequate value in these machines to justify my purchases. (Yes, I have bought plenty Dells over the years, and I still use them today.)

People buy Dell repeatedly because they believe they are getting the proper amount of bang for their bucks. This is why they are number one.
