That's funny
My laptop works great! Use it everyday... matter of fact using it right now to balance my checkbook and post to your drivel. Linux is more than capable of meeting the needs of a student. It's ignorance like yours that prevents the truth from being spread.

My kids and several others are using Linux successfully on desktop and laptop systems. I have cutomers that are more than successfully using Linux solutions in their offices and even more using them at home. By proof of action and installation Linux can do what is needed for the average person.

You may not be able to accept this truth which would explain why you are so much against Linux. You and Anton and many others.

For that matter Some Schools using Linux

So as you were saying in your pathetic attempt to disparge a perfectly capable and usable system? Oh what you need more? Okay I can do that!
More!!!
And more...
And the coup de etat and one of the biggest selling points with several of my clients! Something you CANNOT do with Windows. And THIS in of itself is a great source of savings in more than hardware, software costs... try power costs being reduced, cooling costs as well since the stress on the environmental controls will be reduced by the fact that fewer machines are actually needed to do the same task...
