Why?
If you are a size queen I would understand but why should Apple
jeopardize its profits, its incredibly strong brand and push away
its incredibly loyal base?

Does anybody make more money or higher margins than Apple?
Does anybody anywhere really doubt the quality of their
product?

Why don't you complain about Sony Viao? They are certainly in
the same price range and are as difficult to operate and keep
safe as the cheapest eMachine?

I think those of you that are such big critics of Apple don't know
anything at all about the product, the company, the customer
service, the ease of operation, etc. The whole is greater than the
sum of its parts and so many people here pay more attention to
the parts than they what the machine is actually supposed to do.

Apple will never be number 1 in numbers because most people
won't buy the best, they buy the cheapest.

Gateway is bleeding money like crazy, Dell is losing market
share and the only thing that props up HP is printer ink sales
and its consulting services. They make nothing from hardware.
