You have successfully described
corporate America as a whole. It is all bottom line. It is the main reason GM and the other American automakers are in the trouble they are in. First thing they want to do is make sure they reward their stockholders. Second is to please the customer and third is to properly reinvest in the corporate structure. If they would move the reinvestment up to being First (like the Japanese did), they other two will take care of themselves.
