Intel's product line..
Intel has a much more substantial product line then just the x86 processor.

And exactly WHICH product line is making them any money WITHOUT x86?

The Itanic line? Struck an iceberg known as Opteron and is sinking fast. Even Intel's co-conspirator in it's creation (HP) has pretty much abandoned ship.

Their various chipsets and motherboards? Centrino isn't Centrino without the Intel x86 chip. Likewise, there hasn't been an Intel mobo that ran an AMD chip since the first Pentiums rolled off the assembly line.

Network cards and various other computer upgrade parts? Given most every motherboard on the market these days comes with a built in NIC, is there a real need? - Maybe but only if you need a 1000Base-T solution and your mobo only comes with 10/100.

So, without their x86 line - the whole company is in deep, deep hot water. Everything else that's of major consequence ties directly into an x86 chip in some way shape or form.
