So what you're really saying is that Intel intends to "Streamline" it's products so as to be more competitive?
Is this not the same as making a "relatively" good product Cheaper? The big problem with Intel has always been the same. If at all possible, "Make it Proprietary" and those of us who happen to know a few things about computing want nothing to do with a product that is primarily proprietary. There's where the big problem with Intel lies.
It's unwillingness or inability to get along with the other products on the market today.
Now they've even got a Pseudo AGP/PCI slot instead of the ever reliable AGP architecture.
They may call it going into the future, but there are some of us who happen to see this exactly for what it is, a mediocre product trying to save it's own skin by doing everything it can to "Rope In" the accoutrements and try to keep it proprietary all the while making is seem like they are giving a great deal.
In fact, just the opposite is what the truth is. As for me. if it doesn't have a proper AGP, " Not some geniuses' interpretation" then I won't even look at it and those that do,deserve what they get.
And for god's sake, don't be so cheap,lose the Hidden EISA partition and give us back our Disks. Spend the money. We pay you don't we? At least this is something we can trust, even if it is from Intel.
