Linux on OEM PCs
Many of you have stated that Gateway would be better off to offer Linux, OS-X or even no OS on their PCs. Nothing could be further from the truth! The facts are there is little or no profit left in the hardware. OEMs make their profits on attach rates of primary applications such as Works Suite and Office. That would not be an option with the suggested changes.
