Intel = Business
AMD is hot with the "garage band" portion of the IT community. These are the same folks who use RAID 0 and overclocking to extract every possible ounce of "performance" they can get from their PC.

Intel is still the industry "gold" standard for the professional workstation. Intel processors, Intel chipsets, RAID 5 arrays; these are the signs of a box build with an eye on dependability.

For 99% of all users depenability is by far more important than is a virtually unnoticable increase in processor speed. This is why Intel products dominate the professional world while AMD struggles to be taken seriously and not be dismissed as a fad.
