... at Best Buy makes you eminently qualified to comment on how the industry works. If Intel came in and insisted you put the AMD in a non-peferred location and you did it, who should we blame Intel or Best Buy? Isn't paying for preferred placement a common practice in retail? Doesn't Sony do the same thing with TV's? In fact, isn't that the only way you get on an endcap?

Retail sells perferred placement. That is not the fault of Intel or any other vendor. If AMD wanted peferred placement they could pony up the cash.
