I wonder
It seems like a lot of people (Sun and Oracle, for instance) were so caught up in "fending off" Microsoft that they forgot about the original 800 lb. gorilla of the industry, IBM.

Not to mention bringing in the government to deal with Microsoft, only to have it turn on them also.
