It is basic common sense to not have a company partially owned by the Chinese government produce and assemble computers used in sensitive American positions. The Communist Chinese government is overtly hostile to the US. Of course they want our secrets. They forced down an American military plane just a few years ago to get those secrets. We should not give them free reign to install whatever they would like onto our computer systems. An American computer company may use parts from China, but the actual assembly and Windows installation is done here, not there.
Further, this idea that trade will prevent future hostilities is nonsense. Countries have traded with one another since the dawn of time, but that never prevented war.
