- Sun's open source effort is bound to doom
- The technology of open source is by no means of cutting-edge, like buggy Linux kernel, firefox and so on. Advanced technologies will never be open, look at Windows, Office, Google search engine etc. The only reason why Linux becomes popular these days is the endorsement from Microsoft-haters. Sun will win nothing from these cynicals. This accounts for why Sun is rejected by open source community though it opens its irrelevant old technology such as solaris, sparc.
