FAT kid windwoes is trying to stay in the race....

``The Opteron systems will initially come with 32-bit versions of Windows or Linux. Within 60 to 90 days, 64-bit versions of Linux will arrive on the servers, HP said. Microsoft's 64-bit version of Windows is expected by the end of the year.''

What a remarkably piece of complex garbage the ms windows is! UNIX/Linux has been ported to almost everything 32 or 64 bit! and we now see 64-bit Linux running single image on 512 processor SMPs (SGI Altix). But that ... poor windwoes system WILL become available for 64-bits ... later this year (or the next;-) ) And the BIG plans of MS is to make it run to up to .... FOUR processors MAX.


How can people still buy ms windows for professional use? I cannot understand this. It used to be that 'you never lose if you go with WIntel.' Now it has become certain that you will lose almost always
