Have you priced AMD lately?
They're actually more expensive than Intel products. The current AMD CPUs are a little faster and have less energy requirements, but the price increase isn't proportional to the performance boost. The current AMD lead isn't as big as what appears to be the Conroe lead over AMD in these initial tests.

We?ll have to see what AMD?s response is to the new Intel Core products.
