Flawed math...
Talking TCO, how can the human costs be $3.65 per day.
Assuming 2000 work hours in a year, that's like just $7300 per year.

Are you saying that you can have an entire staff maintaining a GRID, a datacenter, the staff, the real estate for $7300/year. Tell me where, I will buy me a grid computing facility myself.

Now, coming to the issue at hand. Your numbers are way off. But more importantly, the target of this grid is not that companies who need that kind of serious hardware 24X7. There are plenty of offerings in the market, including Sun, who do that. The target is if Company A needs to run some simulations for about 4 hours every DAY and Company B needs to run some number crunching app for 8 hours per WEEK, they don't have to invest in a 24X7 grid. That's flexibility and that's the beauty of it.
