Yes I see your
point bobiroc, but maybe you don't see mine. Some software won't run on a 64-bit CPU. I have a long list of software that won't run right on a friends 64-bit Athlon. He bragged about how fast it was at first, now he complains. I heard the same things over and over.
There are lot complaints about new motherboards, 64-CPUs, and the new graphics cards. I've been reading FAQs on many websites that indicate problems with all of these new technologies including SATA hardrives.
I always embraced new technology,like DDR, firewire, USB 2, and others, but I'm not in a hurry to jump in on this technology. There are others who feel like me saying, "If it ain't broke why fix it"
All I'm saying by this statement I'm not going to buy in till they fix some these hardware issues. The software fixs are enough for me to deal with.
With that being said it's getting better for the hardware problems, and soon 64-bit well be the only way to run some software.
