Still doesn't address the total cost.
Apple would still have to support two different platforms.
Personally I don't want to see any intel based hardware. The cost
would go up, not down. Look at the price of a gaming pc, they
cost more than the run of the mill junk boxes that are so
prevalent. So AMD or Intel would cost just as much. My G4 is still
supported, even though they are selling the G5. If they threw
another architecture in the mix, it would only cost more. Now
add to that the development costs (software and hardware),
where are the savings going to come from?
