There's a fair amount of information on QuickTransit available. You
can check the company website. The basics are that it takes
advantage of the likely similarity between the 'emulated' OS and the
'native' OS. It does indeed 'jit' the application software, but the
generated code for system and library calls will be a sofwtare
gasket which calls the native resources. Bottom line - the app runs
at reduced performance, but OS and libraries run at native speeds.
This results in pretty good performance.
