My bad.
I simply forgot that HyperTransport was also labelled HT. There are just too many two and three letter acronyms (TLA's) floating around to remember all of them all the time.

Don't dismiss hyperthreading completely though. In heavily multithreaded applications, it does give a fair boost to performance. It's not generally as good as having a second core, but it's still not completely worthless.
