Agree, but when in Rome...
I agree with your point. However, I found that ZDNET is no longer a tech only site but rather a site now polluted primarily with company guerilla marketing. It's called viral marketing.

Therefore, the best way to participate is as the old saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans. The trick is to appeal to their desire for rhetoric and then sprinkle in some facts. Sometimes you find someone with a brain.
