It's these fubaring diploma mills.

Everyone talks of a good education, but who wants to pay for it? NOBODY! Parents get whizzed about paying taxes for better schools, teens would rather do neurotoxins than study, and the college set are whinny brats complaining that their mums and dads won't help pay their student loans off after spending it all on beer.

Then comes the diploma mills. All the best a lameass slacker could ask for. Just send a couple hundred bucks and get a phoney-baloney "diploma" in computer science or electronic engineering along with the faked grades and transcrips to back the bull up, and no student loan burden.

Strange thing, the cyberpunk culture tends to disregard such education as crap to begin with (I could be wrong about that). Now I'm believing it myself. Two years college, one in tech school, and I'm still not a computer tech, despite what I've learned in school and on my home PCs, plus some $20K student loans I'll never pay off.
What a sack of crap.
