Actually, that is a good thing
Where I work (<100 people), I will work on home machines for beer and pizza if, and only if, they bring the box in when they first purchase (or aquire) it. For all the BS and FUD made up by the MS bashers, XP is stable and pretty solid if set up correctly. Having done that, I rarely see a machine again, and then mostly for upgrading hardware or software.
If, on the other hand, they run around with Admin rights, no AV, double clicking everything that appears in the inbox, I charge cash.
