That's really good... Not!
Didn't you ever learn the difference between animate/inanimate objects and concepts? A country is a legal tangible representation of a concept. It does not have emotions.

The regime currently in charge of any country may have strong opinions either way about any other country's regime, but that doesn't always reflect the feelings of the rank and file citizen. It's the sweeping statements like yours that foster animosity and unreasoning hatred between groups.

Sort of like the statement that if I p!ss you off today, the "government" is responsible for that because I work for one small agency within the government...

To get back to the true issue: Dell asking people to promise not to look up "The Anarchist's Cookbook" or similar is pretty lame. Does Michael Dell and Co. really think that the truly nefarious will answer that question honestly? It's an exercise in release from culpability in case one of the company's computers turns up somewhere it shouldn't be.

BTW-hasn't anyone at Dell heard of resale? What happens then? Who's responsible for any acts performed using a resold computer?
