For the same reason...
Linux ports have been or are being made on Niagara, Intel Macs, XBox, and iPod: because it's there to be ported to. Bragging rights are secondary wink If Microsoft were to announce tomorrow that they were working on a Windows port to Sparc or Mactel, surely enough you'd be bragging as well, and stating the same reasons for it as I'm giving. And as far as crippling goes, see this site for examples of Linux notebooks and a Tablet, areas historically problematic with Linux:

And be sure to look at the features, as every one of them has full Linux support, so the "crippling" argument won't really stand given closer scrutiny, unless you're thinking Linux circa 1997 happy
